A little story
The company's two founders used to work as frontline designers.
They started theCodeBase in 2022, knowing that flexibility and collaboration make Agile great — but only when the people doing the work are cared for. Today we're an AI-focused team that designs, builds and scales software for companies that rely on technology to grow.

How we work together
Job applications make people tired. We keep it efficient: click apply, attach your résumé, and send it to us. You can also e-mail your application and résumé directly. That's all.
Two conversations, both remote. First a 45-minute chat about what you've built and what you want to build next. Then a 90-minute working session on a real problem from our backlog — no whiteboard puzzles, no take-home that eats your weekend. We'll tell you where you stand within a week.
Remote-first with a London base. Async by default, synchronous when it helps. Decisions are written down, so you never have to be in the right meeting to know what's going on.
We work a focused four-and-a-half-day week. Fridays wrap up at lunch. Core overlap hours are 11:00–15:00 UK time; the rest is yours to shape.
Wear what you work best in. Cameras on is appreciated for client calls; otherwise, you do you.
